How to use it?

Defining Dimensions

When you want to prepare a planning scenario for your company, you need to define a structure on how you want to watch on different parts of your company. E.g. you have Profitcenters where you want to plan revenues, or Costcenters where you want to plan your costs. Depending on the level of detail you would like to plan in, you have to define a structure that is build upon dimensions and defined relationsships between them.

So to keep it simple, we want to build the dimensions for a none-profit organisation like a tennis club:

Revenues:

• Tennis School
• Tennis Courts
• Food and Bevarage
• ....

On the other side we have different Costcenter:

• Facilitymanagement
• Personalcosts
• Common Costs

And below the Costcenters we want to define further costtypes:

• Telekommunication
• Repairservice
• Carpark
• ...

And so on... With this information you continue to build the dimensions and the values inside the dimension.
